There are already more than 2 000 registered participants from 29 countries for Nordea Riga Marathon 2010. The number has doubled if compared to the similar time period before the race last year. In 2009 there were 8 600 participants registered for the race and we expect to reach 10 000 participants for 2010. At the moment the largest international group has registered for Marathon and Half-marathon, but 5K run as in previous years is most popular among locals.
Majority of international participants have registered for 42km race. Similarly to previous years Riga is most popular among Finish runners (at the moment 147 runners from Finland), German runners (at the moment 91 runners from Germany) and UK runners (at the moment 49 runners from Great Britain).
